Does your new zeolite structure have a novel framework topology?
To get topology information on a (potentially) new zeolite framework structure:
Provide a simple CIF file of your framework structure. Using the program TOTOPOL by Mike M. J. Treacy [Arizona State University], a check will be performed to determine whether or not this framework already has a 3-letter code. You will get a table of the coordination sequences and vertex symbols for each T atom in the structure. If the structure is known, the corresponding topological T-positions for that code will also be listed.
CIF file:
Please use a simple CIF file and include only the framework atoms. Longer files will not be uploaded.
You can supply the symmetry information using the tag "_symmetry_equiv_pos_as_xyz" (e.g. '+x,+y,+z').
If the operators are not found (or they are not internally consistent), TOTOPOL will use the space group name and space group number instead.
If possible use the standard setting for the space group name.
By default, TOTOPOL searches the rings for the vertex symbols up to a ring size of 32 T atoms.
If your structure has larger rings you should adjust the ring size accordingly.
Please use this with caution as the computing time increases exponentially with the requested ring size.
If possible do not exceed a ring size of 52.
If you give a ring size smaller than 32 no check for a new topology will be made, but all other topological information will be reported.
